EVANSTON, Ill. — Northwestern women's basketball has added Jacinda Dunbar as its director of operations, head coach Joe McKeown announced.

"We are really excited to have Jacinda as part of our Wildcat staff," said McKeown. "She brings great experience both as a coach and as an administrator and she will have a huge impact as we transition into our new facility. Coming from great academic schools such as Yale and Wesleyan, she understands the experience of being a student-athlete at this level."

Dunbar comes to Chicago's Big Ten Team after spending three years as an assistant coach for Yale's women's basketball team, where she worked under former NU coach Allison Guth.

While working for the Bulldogs, she helped lead the team to a program-record 19-win season.

Prior to Yale, Dunbar worked as an assistant coach at Wesleyan and at Southern Connecticut State.

A team captain as a collegian for Quinnipiac, Dunbar averaged nearly 10 points per game in her sophomore and junior seasons. She earned her undergraduate degree in psychology from Quinnipiac and then a master's in liberal studies from Wesleyan.
