Northwestern Draws Fresno State in Wooden Legacy Opener

EVANSTON, Ill. – Northwestern and Fresno State will square off on Thanksgiving Day (Nov. 22) in the opening round of the 2018 Wooden Legacy.
The three-day tournament continues November 23 and 25 at Titan Gym on the campus of Cal State Fullerton.
Northwestern and Fresno State will match up in the second game of the day at approximately 3:30 p.m. Central time with ESPNU providing live television coverage. The other contest on the top half of the bracket pits Miami (Fla.) and La Salle. The bottom half of the bracket features Seton Hall taking on Grand Canyon and Hawai'i facing Utah in the opening round.
Fresno State is coming off a 21-11 campaign in 2017-18, including posting an 11-7 mark in Mountain West Conference play.
This will be the second time that Northwestern is participating in a tournament operated by ESPN Events. The Wildcats claimed the championship at the 2011 Charleston Classic.
All 12 games of the 2018 Wooden Legacy will air on ESPN2, ESPNU or ESPN3, and will be available on the ESPN App.
