Falzon Represents Malta at FIBA European Championship for Small Countries

EVANSTON, Ill. — Northwestern redshirt junior Aaron Falzon will hit the hardwood and represent Malta at the 2018 FIBA European Championship for Small Countries this summer in Serravalle, San Marino.
 
The 2018 FIBA European Championship for Small Countries opens June 26 and runs through July 1. Malta is joined in Group B by Andorra and Ireland, while Group A is comprised of San Marino, Gibraltar, Moldova and Norway.
 
Falzon and Team Malta open the tournament on Tuesday, June 26 against Andora, before battling Ireland on Wednesday June 27 for a chance to advance out of the group stage. Both games can be seen on Youtube.com/FIBA.

The Newton, Massachusetts, native returned to the court for Northwestern last season after missing nearly the entire 2016-17 campaign due to injury. Falzon battled injuries again in 2017-18 to appear in 28 games with 10 starts to average 5.5 points per game and shoot 37.5 percent from behind the arc.
