EVANSTON, Ill. -- Ryan Greer has signed a National Letter of Intent and will join the Northwestern men's basketball program for the upcoming 2018-19 season.
A 6-foot-2 guard who is a native of Atlanta, Georgia, Greer reclassified to graduate a year early and join the Wildcats this summer. He joins a heralded recruiting class for the Wildcats that also includes Miller Kopp, Pete Nance and Ryan Young.
"We're very excited about the addition of Ryan Greer to the Northwestern basketball family," Sullivan-Ubben Head Men's Basketball Coach Chris Collins said. "Ryan brings great toughness, a high basketball IQ and a top-notch work ethic that will fit in well with our program. He's a proven winner and we're thrilled about what he'll bring this season."
Greer attended Northfield Mount Hermon in 2017-18 – the same school that produced current Wildcat Aaron Falzon – and earned second-team All-SEPSAC recognition after averaging 13 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 2 steals per game while shooting 49 percent from 3-point range.
Prior to his time at NMH, Greer attended The Lovett School in Atlanta where he was a second-team all-state Class AAA selection as a sophomore.
