Wildcats Add Lucas Becht to Class of 2022

EVANSTON, Ill. – The Northwestern men's golf team announced the addition of Lucas Becht to the Class of 2022 on Thursday.
Becht is one of the top amateur golfers in Belgium, twice winning the Belgian National Junior Stroke Play championship.
"We are excited to welcome Lucas Becht to our team for next fall," said head coach David Inglis. "Lucas has a wealth of international tournament experience from playing on the Belgian National Team and will be tremendous addition to Northwestern Golf, both on and off the course."
Becht, a native of Brussels, Belgium, was a runner-up at the Belgian National Stroke Play competition in 2017. He also reached the quarterfinal of the prestigious 2016 British Boys Amateur Championship tournament, where he competed against future teammate David Nyfjäll.
Becht attended Wellington College in England, the same school as junior Ryan Lumsden.
He is the third addition to the Class of 2022, joining Nyfjäll and Yannick Artigolle.
