Lindsey to Participate in Portsmouth Invitational

EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern senior guard Scottie Lindsey will put his talents on display this week in Virginia when he participates in the annual Portsmouth Invitational.
Now in its 66th year, the Portsmouth Invitational is a showcase event for collegiate players who have exhausted their eligibility. Sixty-four players will participate in a four-day, 12-team tournament.
Lindsey is the first Northwestern player to take part in the invitational since Tre Demps in 2016. The Hillside, Illinois, native recently completed his collegiate career ranked 19th in school history with 1,270 career points and ninth with 198 3-point field goals. This past season, he led the Wildcats with an average of 15.2 points per game.
Lindsey is one of three players from the Big Ten Conference participating in this year's Portsmouth Invitational, joining Minnesota's Nate Mason and Purdue's Dakota Mathias.
Action gets underway Wednesday, April 11 and runs through Saturday the 14th. Lindsey will play for the K & D Rounds Landscaping team that opens up tournament play at 8 p.m. Central time Thursday.
