EVANSTON, Ill. — Two of the top teams in the country will be on display at Lanny and Sharon Martin Stadium on Saturday when No. 8/10 Northwestern hosts No. 1 Stony Brook.

The Wildcats moved back into the top 10 in the country in both the IWLCA Coaches' Poll and Inside Lacrosse Media poll this week after knocking off No. 7/6 USC last Sunday, 9-5.

The Seawolves are 3-0 with wins over USC (14-10), No. 23 Stanford (15-9) and No. 20 Denver (16-3). The 'Cats and Seawolves met four times in program history with NU's lone win in the series coming at home on March 12, 2016, 7-6.

Redshirt first-year goalkeeper Julie Krupnick was named the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week Tuesday after limiting the Trojans to just five goals while making six saves last week. Krupnick has held each of the first five opponent of the season to less than two goals and currently ranks second in the country with a goals-against average of 6.50.

Junior attack Selena Lasota recorded her fourth-consecutive hat trick with three second-half goals versus USC. Lasota moved past Lindsey Munday (140; 2003-06) into 10th in program history with 142 career goals.

Senior defender Lindsay Darrell set a career high with four caused turnovers last week. Darrell leads the Wildcats with nine caused turnovers, matching her total from her junior season. She enters Saturday's game second in the Big Ten with 1.8 caused turnovers per game.

Chicago's Big Ten Team is in the midst of a six-game homestand that still includes matchups versus Marquette (3/10), No. 3 North Carolina (3/17), Michigan (3/23) and No. 5 Syracuse (3/26). The Wildcats' are 4-0 at home this season.
