Cannon, McNulty Receive PrepVolleyball Honors

EVANSTON, Ill. — Incoming Wildcats Abryanna Cannon (Novi, Mich./Novi) and Kiara McNulty (Del Mar, Calif./Torrey Pines) were recognized among the best volleyball players in the nation, PrepVolleyball announced.
The website released its 2017 High School All-Americans, with Cannon named an All-American and McNulty listed as a Highest Honorable Mention.
The announcement adds more recognition to the incoming Class of 2022, which also includes Ella Grbac (Cleveland, Ohio/Gilmour) and Hanna Lesiak (Frankfort, Ill./Lincoln-Way East).
Being named a PrepVolleyball All-American adds to Cannon's already storied high school career. The 6-foot-1 outside hitter was named a Gatorade Player of the Year finalist in 2017, and led her team to state titles in 2016 and 2017 while also being named All-State. Head Coach Shane Davis shared his excitement about Cannon when the commitment was announced, noting her positional versatility.
McNulty was named an Under Armour All-American in 2017 as well and has also been deemed a "Supernova" by PrepVolleyball. The 5-foot-10 setter is also a leader among her peers in terms of her off-the-court service, which includes founding a volleyball tournament that has raised over $20,000 for local charities.
