
Wildcats Sweep IUPUI For Sunday Split

EVANSTON, Ill. – Northwestern followed a tough morning with a huge win over IUPUI, winning every set of the match.
Dropping the doubles point against the Cards, the 'Cats rallied hard to fight for a win in their singles matches against Louisville.
Wildcats Dominik Stary, Nick Brookes, and Jason Seidman won their first sets of the singles matchups, winning 7-5, 7-5, and 7-6 respectively. Stary and Seidman went on to win their matches in straight sets, Stary at No. 2 with a 7-5, 6-1 win, and Seidman pulling ahead of his opponent with a 7-6, 6-1 mark.
After the third set of a decisive match, Northwestern fell to Louisville 4-2.
The 'Cats bounced back against IUPUI with a strong start during the doubles matches. The Vandixhorn / Stary and Fasano / Ephron duos won every game, leading to a quick doubles point for Northwestern.
Sophomore Dominik Stary and first year Antonioni Fasano at No. 1 and 2 made quick work of their first singles set, each winning their first six games.
The 'Cats performed well throughout the match, and never dropped a set. Stary and Fasiano each won their match 6-0, 6-1. First year AJ Joshi was the other Wildcat to finish, and drove his match home with a 6-1, 6-0 record.
Chicago's Big Ten Team next hosts Vanderbilt at home on Friday, February 23 at 7 p.m.
