Wildcats Ready for Road Test Against Florida

The 'Cats will travel to the University of Florida in Gainesville, Fla. to take on the Gators Sunday afternoon. Tip off for that game is set for 1p.m. CT.

Northwestern is off to a 3-0 start after defeating UIC on Thursday night, 87-44.

Lindsey Pulliam lead the way for the Wildcats, scoring the first six points. She finished the night with a season high of 22.

Three other 'Cats contributed doubled-digit points with Abi Scheid scoring 16, Bryana Hopkins 14 and first-year Jess Sancataldo with 10.

Brydy Galernik make her first season start and ran the floor with authority, dishing out a career high nine assists along with eight points.

Northwestern entered the fourth quarter up 61-32. The 'Cats tallied up game-high 26 more points for a 87-44 win. First-years Jess Sancataldo and Courtney Shaw took their chances to make an impact. Sancataldo sank her first and second career three-point shots and scored 10 points in seven minutes. Shaw recorded her first points and first rebound of her collegiate career.

Scouting the Opponent:

Florida (0-3) returns to Gainesville after a two game stretch on the road, playing Florida State and Mercer.
Florida's leading scorer Funda Nakkasoglue from Hampton, Australia averaged 14.9 points per game last season.
The Gators are returning just two starters and adding six newcomers.
This is the second meeting between the two teams with the last meeting in 2016. The Wildcats defeated the Gators 78-64 in Welsh-Ryan Arena
