Northwestern Storms Back to Defeat Florida in Overtime, 83-74

Gainesville, Fla. - Northwestern went on a 9-0 run late in the fourth quarter to force overtime in an 83-74 victory against the Florida Gators in the Exactech Arena Sunday afternoon.
The 'Cats once trailed for over 30 minutes and found themselves down by as many as 11 in the fourth quarter. With two minutes left in regulation, Northwestern fired back nine unanswered points to tie the game.
Sophomore guard Lindsey Pulliam led the way for the Wildcats with a season high 22 points, going 10-17 from the arc. Her mid-range jumper tied the game 70-70 with 46 seconds left in regulation. This was her third consecutive double-digit scoring game this season.
Senior Pallas Kunaiyi-Akpanah posted her third double-double of her senior campaign, pulling in 13 rebounds and scoring a season high 18 points. She added two assists and two blocks.
Two other Wildcats contributed double-digit points: Abi Scheid with 18 and Jordan Hamilton with 16, including the final second layup to send the 'Cats into overtime.
Northwestern's defense kept Florida to just two points in final five minutes of the game to seal a 4-0 record.
Chicago's Big Ten Team will return home to play UT-Martin in Welsh-Ryan Arena, Sunday, November 25. Tip off for that game is set for 2 p.m.
