'Cats Host No. 15 Notre Dame in Tuesday Tilt at Martin Stadium

EVANSTON, Ill. - Northwestern will play its third consecutive game against a ranked opponent when it welcome No. 15 Notre Dame to Martin Stadium Tuesday night fo

Northwestern [4-4-2] looks to bounce back from a tough four game stretch against Big Ten opponents, going 0-3-1 along the way. Miha Miskovic currently leads the Big Ten and is fourth in the nation in shutouts with sixth, he is also second in the conference in total saves with 58.

A total of 12 Northwestern players have tallied points on the year with Camden Buescher leading the way with seven. He has accumulated three goals and one assist this year, with Bardia Kimiavi the only other Northwestern player to score multiple goals at two.

Notre Dame [5-3-1] is coming off a 1-0 win over Boston College. Aiden McFadden scored the lone goal of the match, his third of the year. The only player on Notre Dame with more goals is Patrick Berneski at five.

Last year Northwestern lost to the Fighting Irish in a 2-1 overtime thriller, but beat Notre Dame in 2016 in the same 2-1 overtime fashion with the game-winning goal scored by Mike Roberge. Northwestern is 4-2-4 against Notre Dame dating back to 2008, including NCAA tournament wins in 2008 and 2009.
