EVANSTON, Ill. – No. 17 Northwestern (8-2, 3-2 Big Ten) returns home to host No. 19 Rutgers at historic Patten Gymnasium on Friday evening for a 7 p.m. tilt.
 
THE END OF AN ERA
Both Mitch Sliga (184) and Michael Sepke (165) will be honored in a pre-match Senior Day ceremony for their final home match in the Purple and White. 

#PACKPATTEN
Early-arriving Northwestern students will receive a Pack Patten crewneck sweatshirt for the home finale. Chick-fil-a will also be available for Wildcat students.

PRIOR RETURNS
The Wildcats knocked off No. 14 Minnesota in Minneapolis, 20-18, on January 28th for their first win over the Golden Gophers since 1996. It was NU's highest ranking victory since topping No. 14 Stanford on November 5, 2011.
 
No. 5 Ryan Deakin (149) landed a pin for bonus points to secure the victory, his team-high sixth pin of the season. The redshirt first-year improved to 24-3 on the year, including a perfect 10-0 in dual competition.
 
No. 10 Sebastian Rivera (125) improved his record to a remarkable 20-1 with a convincing 11-3 major decision over his opponent.
 
No. 18 Johnny Sebastian (174) remained undefeated in conference competition with his fifth straight victory.
 
Mitch Sliga (184) defeated Minnesota's Dylan Anderson, 7-2, while Conan Jennings (285) shut out his opponent, 11-0, to earn the major decision and four team points.
 
SUPER SEBASTIAN
Redshirt first-year Sebastian Rivera continued his upstart campaign with his 20th victory of the season. With the Wildcats trailing by one point, he dominated his Golden Gopher opponent, 11-3, to pick up the win and give the 'Cats a 14-10 lead. His only defeat of the season came to #2 Nick Suriano of Rutgers at Midlands.
 
RANKING RUMBLINGS
The #B1GCats currently sit 17th in the NWCA/USA TODAY Coaches Poll, while W.I.N. Magazine has Chicago's Big Ten Team tied for 14th in their Tournament Power Index. InterMat also has InterMat ranked 17th in the nation in their dual poll.
