EVANSTON, Ill. – The Northwestern men's and women's swimming teams were named College Swimming Coaches Association of America [CSCAA] Scholar All-America teams for their academic achievements in fall of 2017.

The men's team qualified with a 3.14 GPA and the women's team earned a 3.48 GPA. Both the men's and women's Wildcats squads have earned the honors every year since 2013. The Big Ten Conference had twenty-two men's and women's team selections this fall, the most of any conference in the nation.

The Fall Team Scholar All-America award is presented to college and university swimming and diving teams who have achieved a grade point average of 3.0 or higher in the fall semester/quarter. This year 688 teams, representing 430 schools across all NCAA, NAIA, and NJCAA Divisions, earned the honors, the most ever for a Fall quarter.
