Kirchheimer to Compete at Nielsen Pro Championship in Winnetka

EVANSTON, Ill. – 2017 Northwestern graduate Strong Kirchheimer will compete at the Nielsen Men's Pro Tennis Championship in Winnetka, Illinois, beginning Monday, July 10.
Kirchheimer earned an invitation into the 32-person main draw against some of the top competition on the ATP Challenger Tour and the USTA Pro Circuit.
Northwestern's all-time combined singles and doubles wins leader will face Luke Saville (Australia), ranked No. 358 in the world, in the first round at 11:30 a.m. The winner will take on either No. 3 seed Dennis Novikov (USA) or a player TBD from the qualifying draw.
The tournament's overall No. 1 seed is Tennys Sandgren (USA), who is ranked No. 106 in the world.
The $75,000 challenger event awards prize money based on order of finish with the winner of the singles draw taking home nearly $11,000.
All matches will be held outdoors at the A.C. Nielsen Tennis Center in Winnetka (530 Hibbard Rd.). Fans can buy a $125 all-session pass or spend $20-$30 on individual session tickets.
