EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern junior Sabrina Rabin has been named an NFCA All-Great Lakes Region honoree for the third time in her career, the organization announced Thursday.

Rabin was selected to the third-team in 2017 after being a second-team award winner as a first-year and a sophomore. Earlier this month, the former Big Ten Freshman of the Year also won her third-straight All-Big Ten honor.

Rabin turned in another solid campaign this season, once again leading the Big Ten in stolen bases with 12 in conference play and 27 total (.57 per game). She batted .354 and scored 47 runs, giving her an average of exactly one run per game. She was named the conference Player of the Week on March 6 of this year after hitting .474 against a tough slate at the Judi Garman Classic.

Still with her senior season to come, Rabin already ranks fourth in NU history in runs (150) and steals (95) while ranking 10^th in base hits (195).

Rabin's speed made her an all-around terror again in 2017: Defensively, she robbed a pair of home runs in a series against No. 22 Wisconsin while on the base paths, she tagged and scored a run on a sacrifice fly caught by the second baseman on the infield April 19 against DePaul.
