EVANSTON, Ill. — Northwestern will take its unblemished conference record on the road Thursday to take on Ohio State in a nationally-televised contest on the Big Ten Network.

The Wildcats are one of three undefeated teams in conference playing, joining No. 1 Maryland (2-0) and No. 5 Penn State (3-0). The 'Cats will look to add to their victories over Michigan and Johns Hopkins in an effort to claim one of the four spots in the Big Ten Tournament.

Chicago's Big Ten Team is 13-3 all-time versus Ohio State following a 22-13 win in Columbus last season. Thursday's contest will begin at 6 p.m. CT.

QUINN LEADING THE LEAGUE
Sophomore defender Claire Quinn enters Thursday night's contest versus Ohio State leading the Big Ten in caused turnovers at 1.75 per game. She tied the second-best single-game mark in program history with a career-high six versus Johns Hopkins and has caused at least two turnovers in each of her last four games. The Manhassett, New York, native is also among the league leaders in ground balls per game, ranking third at 2.5 per contest.

FREDERICKS DOMINATING THE CIRCLE
Junior Shelby Fredericks is once again among the nation's leaders in draw controls, entering Thursday's game ranked  fifth with 7.09 per game. Fredericks' 78 draw controls this season have brought her career total to 273, moving her past Kristen Kjellman (2004-07) for second on the NU career list. The Babylon, New York, native is fifth among active players with a career mark of 5.5 draw controls per game, while her 273 mark is the third most among active NCAA Division I players.

LOCK DOWN
Northwestern has limited its last four opponents to 10 goals or fewer, allowing just 8.75 goals per game during the stretch. The 'Cats have held each of its two Big Ten foes under 10 goals, giving up just eight goals to Michigan and nine to Johns Hopkins in an overtime win.

GO, GO ESPO
Senior co-captain Christina Esposito continues to lead the Wildcats in goals (32), points (40), shots (78), shots on goal (57), game-winning goals (3) and free-position goals (11). Esposito scored three goals, including the game winner in overtime, and dished out an assist versus Johns Hopkins before tallying three more goals versus Penn to extend her career-long point streak to 29 games.

SAVE IT FOR LATER
Thursday's contest will feature the top-two save leaders in the Big Ten in Ohio State's Jill Rizzo and Northwestern's Mallory Weisse. Rizzo leads the league and the country with 146 saves, while Weisse is second in the Big Ten and ranks 11th in the country with 109. The Wildcats' sophomore goalkeeper from Westfield, New Jersey, has made double-digit saves six times this season and is averaging just over nine stops per contest.
