EVANSTON, Ill. — Northwestern will return to the friendly confines of Lanny and Sharon Martin Stadium to take on Marquette Saturday for its first home game since January 30. The Wildcats opened the season at home with a 9-7 Golden Griffins before playing five-straight games on the road.

Chicago's Big Ten Team enters Saturday's game with a 2-4 mark, having lost each of the last four games, including a pair of overtimes games at Colorado and USC by the identical score of 11-10.

CLEAN IT UP QUINN
Sophomore defender Claire Quinn enters the weekend ranked third in the Big Ten with 2.67 ground balls per game. Quinn leads the Wildcats with 16 ground balls and is tied with senior Christina Esposito for the team lead with eight caused turnovers through six games. Quinn had a career-high six ground balls last Friday versus No. 5 Syracuse, matching freshman Megan Kinna (vs. USC) for the most by a Wildcat in a game this season.

GO, GO, ESPO!
Graduate student and co-captain Christina Esposito continues to lead the Wildcats offensively, entering the weekend with a team-high 17 goals. Esposito has scored in every game this season, notching multiple goals in five of six and at least three goals in four of six. She has twice matched her career high with four goals (vs. Canisius, 1/30; at Colorado, 2/12) all while extending her career-long point streak to 22 games dating back to last season.

INGRILLI CONTINUES TO CHIP IN
Senior midfielder Catie Ingrilli has scored in each of the first six games this season, setting a new career-best streak for consecutive games with a goal. Ingrilli has seven goals, just three shy of her career high 10 goals set last season. The senior has done the bulk of her scoring on free-position shots, scoring five of her seven goals from the eight-meter arc.

IN THE CIRCLE
Junior Shelby Fredericks continues to climb the NU record book as one of the program's top draw control specialists. Fredericks has claimed 22 draw controls over the last three games, including nine at USC and a season-high 11 at Stony Brook last Sunday. The junior is third among active players in DI women's lacrosse with 222 career draw controls and fourth among active players with 4.72 draw controls per game.

IT DOESN'T GET ANY TOUGHER
A look at the IWLCA will show you that once again the Wildcats are playing arguably the toughest schedule in the country this season. The 'Cats' schedule features eight of the top 10 teams in the country currently and 13 of the top 20 overall. Northwestern has already played the No. 4, No. 5, No. 7, No. 8 and No. 10 teams in Division I women's lacrosse and still have six more games versus ranked foes. As of March 8, NU's opponents have a combined 30-4 record (.882 winning percentage).
