Wilimovsky, Cramer Earn All-America Honors at NCAA Championships

INDIANAPOLIS —
Northwestern placed 28th overall at the 2017 NCAA Championships thanks to a fourth-place finish in the 1,650 free and 13th place finish in the 500 free by Jordan Wilimovsky, respectively, while Andrew Cramer scored points for the Wildcats by finishing 13th in the platform event.
 
Wilimovksy's finish earned him his fifth career All-America honors and third in the mile-long race. In the 1,650 free, Wilimovsky's time of 14:23.45 surpassed the previous American record and sets a new Northwestern record.
   
The Malibu, California, native closed his Northwestern career with a trio of top-five finishes in the event at the NCAA Championships. WIlimovsky placed fourth in 1,650 free at the 2014 championships and third in 2015. Wilimovsky set the school record in the preliminary heat of the 500 free with a time of 4:13.17 to qualify for the consolation final.
 
After finishing 36th in the platform dive at the 2016 NCAA Championships, Cramer surged at the 2017 championships by qualifying for the consolation finals with a score of 327.00 in the preliminary rounds. The Northwestern senior finished 13th overall with a score of 335.90. Cramer's finish earned him honorable mention All-America honors.
