Wildcats Will Learn Postseason Destination This Sunday

EVANSTON, Ill. – No. 21 Northwestern will ride a seven-game win streak into bowl season, the program's third consecutive bowl appearance and eighth in the last ten seasons.
Dan & Susan Jones Family Head Football Coach Pat Fitzgerald and the Wildcats will learn their postseason destination on Sunday, December 3.
At 11:30 a.m. CT, ESPN will announce the College Football Playoff national semifinal participants to play in the Rose and Sugar Bowls. At 2 p.m. CT, ESPN will announce the participants in the remaining CFP bowls – the Cotton, Orange, Fiesta and Peach Bowls – the 'New Year's Six' bowls. The remaining Big Ten bowl assignments will be confirmed and announced once the New Year's Six bowls have been finalized.
NUSports.com will have ticket information available as soon as Northwestern's bowl destination is announced. The only way to secure the best seats, surrounded by other Wildcats, is by purchasing at NUSports.com or by calling 888-GO-PURPLE.
Ticket information for Northwestern University students also will be distributed on Sunday once a bowl invitation is accepted.
Northwestern is 9-3 this season and ranked No. 21 in the current College Football Playoff rankings, and No. 20 in both the Coaches and AP polls. A total of 12 Wildcats received All-Big Ten recognition from the Conference this week.
Chicago's Big Ten Team has won two of its last three bowl games, with victories in the 2013 Taxslayer.com Gator Bowl, and the 2016 Pinstripe Bowl at iconic Yankee Stadium.
