SYRACUSE, N.Y. – After three games in Nashville over Thanksgiving weekend, Northwestern travels to Syracuse's Carrier Dome Thursday night to take on the Orange at 6 p.m. as part of the annual Big Ten/ACC Challenge.

Chicago's Big Ten Team started off the season with four straight wins, before going 1-2 at the Music City Challenge. Northwestern continues to prove itself as a strong defensive team, ranking first in the Big Ten in scoring defense (54.3), field goal percentage defense (33.0), and rebounding defense (31.4).

The Wildcats have three players (Lindsey Pulliam, Abi Scheid, and Pallas Kunaiyi-Akpanah) averaging double-digits in points. First year Lindsey Pulliam also ranks second in the Big Ten in free-throw percentage, making 88.2 percent of her shots from the foul line.

This will only be the second time the 'Cats have faced Syracuse. The two teams last played each other in 1990 during the Stanford Cardinal Classic. Northwestern won that contest 74-52.

The Orange is 6-0 so far this season, taking home the Paradise Jam Reef Division title after defeating Wisconsin, Vanderbilt, and George Washington over the holiday weekend.

After taking on Syracuse, NU returns to Evanston to play Milwaukee on December 3. Tip-off is 2 p.m. at historic Beardsley Gym in Evanston Township High School.
