SERIES HISTORY
Northwestern has won two in a row against the Badgers, including a 2-0 result earlier this season on Oct. 15. This is the first Big Ten Tournament meeting between the two since a 3-1 Wisconsin win in the first round in 1995. The Badgers lead the all-time series 17-7-1, including that 1995 win, which is the only neutral match in series history.
Β
TOURNEY TIME
Northwestern advanced to the semifinals of the Big Ten Tournament for the third time in the past four years with its 1-0 win over Purdue on Sunday in the quarterfinals. The Wildcats have been to one Big Ten Tournament championship game, a 1-0 OT loss to Michigan in 1997.
Β
CAN'T SCORE ON CLEM
Lauren Clem holds the Northwestern program record for career shutouts with 47, with the most recent coming in the 1-0 win over Purdue. She is now tied for third in NCAA history and continues to climb the ranks. The all-time NCAA record is 55, set by Katelyn Rowland (UCLA) from 2011-14. Northwestern is in the midst of a 471-minute shutout streak, the fourth-longest in program history. Clem holds the two longest streaks with the record at 658:58.
