Men's Swimming and Diving 2017-18 Schedule Preview

EVANSTON, Ill. – The Northwestern men's swimming and diving team released its 2017-18 schedule, which is highlighted by the TYR Invitational at the Norris Aquatics Center from Nov. 17-19.
Four of the Wildcats' scheduled opponents finished last season ranked in the top 25 of the CSCAA Coaches Poll. The regular season schedule consists of four road trips and six home meets.
Head coach Jarod Schroeder enters his ninth season at the helm with a meet at Eastern Michigan on Oct. 11, followed by three consecutive meets at home. Georgia, which finished last season ranked No. 7, will visit Evanston on Oct. 20, while Georgia Tech comes in on Oct. 21. The 'Cats then host crosstown rivals UIC and University of Chicago for a tri-dual meet on Oct. 28.
Northwestern travels to Carbondale, Ill., for the annual two-day quad-dual meet against Missouri, Kentucky and SIU, hosted by the Salukis on Nov. 3-4. Last year, the Tigers finished the season ranked 11th in the country.
Northwestern opens Big Ten action at home against Wisconsin on Nov. 11, who finished last season in the top-25.

NU will start 2018 with by visiting SMU on Jan. 13. The 'Cats then resume conference action with a home meet against Iowa on Jan. 20.
Schroeder's squad closes out the regular season in Minneapolis for a tri-dual against Minnesota and Purdue on Jan. 26 and 27.
