Northwestern (8-6-2, 5-3-1) currently sits fourth in the Big Ten and controls its own destiny for hosting the first round of the Big Ten Tournament in Evanston. Nebraska (9-3-5, 3-1-5) sits sixth, just two points behind the 'Cats for fourth.

SERIES HISTORY
Northwestern and Nebraska have reached double overtime and tied in each of the past three meetings. In their last matchup in 2016, the Wildcats advanced, 4-3, on penalty kicks to move on to the second round of the Big Ten Tournament. The Cornhuskers lead the overall series, 6-1-3, including a 3-1-1 record at Martin Stadium.

PLAYING THE BEST
Northwestern has played or will play seven teams currently ranked in the United Soccer Coaches' weekly top-25 poll and eight teams in the Top Drawer Soccer top-25. The Wildcats are the only Big Ten school to hand Ohio State a loss thus far, and the 'Cats drew with then-No. 12 Rutgers at Martin Stadium on Sept. 22 before most recently knocking off No. 23 Minnesota, 2-0. NU's schedule is ranked 25th in the country, as the combined winning percentage of all past opponents sits at .611. Only Penn State (18), Michigan (19), Rutgers (20), and Michigan State (22) have played a harder schedule than Northwestern among Big Ten teams.

CAN'T SCORE ON CLEM
Lauren Clem holds the Northwestern program record for career shutouts with 44, with the most recent coming in the 2-0 win over Wisconsin on Sunday. She is now tied for seventh in NCAA history and continues to climb the ranks. The all-time NCAA record is 55, set by Katelyn Rowland (UCLA) from 2011-14.
