'The Foundation: Northwestern Basketball' Nominated For Emmy Award

EVANSTON, Ill. – After chronicling the most successful year in Northwestern men's basketball history, Studio N may soon reach a milestone of its own with its award-winning series The Foundation: Northwestern Basketball.
The series, produced by Northwestern Athletics' own Studio N, was nominated for a Chicago/Midwest Regional Emmy Award for Outstanding Achievement in Sports Programs – Program Series.
The Foundation: Northwestern Basketball, produced by Dallas Abel, Rob Coons, Cam Good, Ben Jenkins, and Ben Rohde, and hosted by 'The Voice of the Wildcats' Dave Eanet, gives an in-depth, behind-the-scenes look at the Northwestern men's basketball team, providing captivating content for Wildcats' fans across the nation. Episode 7, which captured the team's historic NCAA Tournament experience, was submitted for nomination.
"We are thrilled to be a nominee for such a prestigious award," said Coons, Senior Executive Director of Broadcast Operations. "The recognition validates the hard work by a number of extremely talented individuals, not just on the Foundation, but on our Studio N team as a whole over the past few years. We are appreciative of the intimate access granted to us by head coach Chris Collins and the Northwestern basketball staff and student-athletes, and we were fortunate to have been along for the ride to document such a historic and unforgettable season."
Other nominees for the award include various sports productions across the Chicago area and Midwest region. Joining The Foundation are: Packers Life, The Extra Point: Behind the Scenes of Game 7 of the World Series, and Late Night Snack with Henry.
The Chicago/Midwest Regional Emmy Awards, presented by the Chicago/Midwest Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, will be held on December 2nd at the Swissotel in downtown Chicago.
