EVANSTON, Ill. – Northwestern continues a road-heavy opening stretch to the Big Ten season Sunday when it travels to Nebraska. Tip time is set for 1:15 p.m.

Northwestern is in the midst of playing four of its first five conference games on the road for the first time since the 1955-56 season.

The Wildcats (12-4, 1-2 B1G) dropped their Big Ten home opener on Thursday, falling 70-66 to Minnesota. Bryant McIntosh paced NU with a game-high 21 points while topping 1,000 career points in the process. He is the 34th player in school history to reach the milestone. Vic Law contributed 14 points and 8 rebounds for the 'Cats.

With his next assist, McIntosh will move into sole possession of second place on Northwestern's career assists list. McIntosh's 452 career assists are the most of any non-senior in the nation.

Nebraska leads the all-time series with Northwestern, 7-4, but the Wildcats swept the season series between the teams a year ago, winning 81-72 Dec. 30 in Lincoln and 65-54 March 6 in Evanston. Dererk Pardon was the star of last year's matchup in Lincoln, recording 28 points and 12 rebounds in just his second career game and his first Big Ten contest. He recorded 23 points and 11 rebounds in the second half alone in the contest.

Northwestern guard Jordan Ash and Nebraska guard Glynn Watson were teammates on the St. Joseph High School team that won an Illinois state championship in 2015.

Scouting Nebraska
The Cornhuskers (9-6, 3-0) shook off a 6-6 record during nonconference play to win each of their first three conference games for the first time since the 1975-76 season. Tai Webster leads the team with an average of 17.7 points per game while Watson contributes 15.2 points per contest while shooting 46.4 percent from 3-point range.
