SERIES HISTORY
Northwestern and Rutgers will meet for just the sixth time when the teams take the floor on Sunday. Rutgers leads the all-time series 3-2 and has won all three of the meetings in Piscataway. The Scarlet Knights won the only game last year, a narrow 61-59 decision. This is only the fourth game between Northwestern and Rutgers since the Scarlet Knights joined the Big Ten. The other two came in 1978 and 2002, both wins by Rutgers.

A LITTLE HELP FROM MY FRIENDS
Northwestern ranks 16th in the country and fourth in the Big Ten in assists per game with 17.6, as the Wildcats have registered at least 20 assists in eight games, including most recently against Ohio State (1/3) and have double-digit assists in 19 of 20 games this year. Ashley Deary leads the Big Ten and ranks 11th nationally in assists per game with 6.9 and is the NCAA's active career leader in the category with 728 career assists.

GRAND THEFT ASHLEY
Ashley Deary broke the Big Ten's all-time steals record on Jan. 3 against Ohio State with career steal No. 373 early in the first quarter. She now stands at 389 for her career and owns the top three NU single-season steals records, career record and Big Ten single season record, along with the Big Ten career record. She broke a 16-year-old record previously held by Michigan's Stacey Thomas. Deary is also the nation's current active career steals leader at 389 and leads the category by 61. She ranks fourth in the country this season and first in the Big Ten in steals per game with 3.9.
