EVANSTON, Ill. βΒ Northwestern will head back on the road this weekend when it makes the trip to Bloomington, Ind., to battle No. 3 Indiana on Sunday, Sept. 18 at 1 p.m. CT.

LAST TIME OUT
Northwestern suffered a 2-1 overtime loss to Wisconsin on Wednesday evening to move to 1-5-0 overall and 0-2-0 in Big Ten matches. Junior Elo Ozumba scored the Wildcats lone tally in the 14th minute when he headed home a beautiful cross from Camden Buescher.

Francisco Tomasino notched a career-high seven saves in the effort.

THE OPPONENT
Indiana enters its match up against Northwestern ranked No. 3 in the latest NSCAA Poll with an overall record of 4-0-2 and a Big Ten mark of 1-0-1. The Hoosiers opened up their Big Ten campaign by playing then-No. 2 Maryland to a 1-1 draw, before topping Michigan, 2-0, on Sept. 14.

Richard Ballard leads Indiana with eight points on three goals and two assists, while Tanner Thompson has posted a pair of goals and assists in six games played.

AMONG THE BIG TEN
The 'Cats are led by senior captains Brandon Medina and Jeffrey Hopson, who have both tallied a pair of penalty-kick goals this season. The duo ranks in the top-10 among the Big Ten in both goals (2) and goals per game (Medina, 0.40 | Hopson, 0.33).

Francisco Tomasino has started all six games in net this season. He has made 23 saves and is averaging 3.80 saves per game, which places him second in the Big Ten.

HEAD COACH β TIM LENAHAN
Head coach Tim Lenahan enters his 16th season at the helm of the Wildcats. During his tenure, he has taken the program to the NCAA Tournament on nine occasions and won the Big Ten regular season twice (2011, 2012) in addition to one conference tournament title in 2011. Last season, Lenahan earned his 150th victory as NU's head coach when the 'Cats topped Penn State, 2-1, on Nov. 11, 2015.

Coach Tim Lenahan has named Nate Dearth, Jeffrey Hopson and Brandon Medina as the team's captains heading into the 2016 campaign.

HEEEEE'S BACK
Senior Brandon Medina returned to the pitch in 2016 after missing last year with a leg injury. Media scored two goals against Florida Gulf Coast in the opener, both on penalty kicks, in his first game back since 2014.

The first penalty kick that Media buried in the opener was the first-ever goal scored at the new Lanny and Sharon Martin Stadium. The second PK was the eventual game-winner.

In 34 career games, Medina has accounted for 22 points on six goals and 10 assists. Three of Medina's six career goals have been game-winners.

BIG TEN PRESEASON HONORS
Seniors Brandon Medina, Nathan Dearth and Jeffrey Hopson have earned Big Ten Preseason Honors.

Dearth has started and played in every game the last two seasons. He is the returning minutes leader from the 2015 team, where he finished the campaign with a goal and two assists. The Pittsburgh, Pa., native was an Academic All-Big Ten honoree and Big Ten Distinguished Scholar in 2015.

Hopson enters his final campaign in Purple having played in every game during his career (64) and has started in 48 consecutive games. He tallied a career-high three assists in 2015 and chipped in a goal in the season opener against Colgate.
