Wildcats Add Graduate Transfer Trevor Stroebel

EVANSTON, Ill. – Northwestern football has added graduate student transfer long snapper Trevor Stroebel to the roster, Dan & Susan Jones Family Head Coach Pat Fitzgerald announced on Thursday. Stroebel earned his undergraduate degree in three years from the Georgia Institute of Technology, will be immediately eligible to participate and has two seasons of NCAA eligibility remaining.
 
The Saukville, Wisconsin, native appeared in 20 games over his first two seasons with the Yellow Jackets, before missing his junior campaign due to injury.
 
A two-time member of the Atlantic Coast Conference Honor Roll, Stroebel earned a B.S. in business administration, with a concentration in finance, from Georgia Tech. The product of Cedarburg High School will wear No. 62 for the Wildcats.
 
Northwestern opens the 2016 season at Ryan Field on Saturday, September 3, at 11 a.m. against Western Michigan University.
