EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern's 2016 non-conference finale and Big Ten opener will be played in prime time at Ryan Field, the Conference announced on Monday. The Wildcats matchup with Duke on Saturday, Sept. 17, will kick off under the lights at 7 p.m. CT. The following week Chicago's Big Ten Team welcomes Nebraska at 6:30 p.m. CT on Sept. 24, with both games being broadcast on Big Ten Network.

Both 2016 prime time matchups in Evanston will be rematches from the 2015 season. Northwestern earned a 19-10 win over Duke in Durham, and a 30-28 victory over the Cornhuskers in Lincoln last year.

Season tickets for the Wildcats' seven-game home slate are on sale now at NUSports.com. Information on group ticket packages at Ryan Field is available HERE or by calling a Wildcats Account Executive at 888-GO-PURPLE.

The Wildcats are coming off the fourth 10-win season in program history in a year that saw victories over eventual Pac-12 champion Stanford and five opponents that won bowl games. Three All-Big Ten players return for Northwestern, led by All-American linebacker Anthony Walker, Jr.

The prime time matchups conclude Northwestern's four-game homestand at Ryan Field to begin the 2016 campaign. The Wildcats open the season on Saturday, Sept. 3, when they welcome Western Michigan to Evanston.

Additional game times and television assignments will be announced by Northwestern, the Big Ten Conference and its television partners at a later date.
