EVANSTON, Ill. — Northwestern Athletics, the Big Ten Conference and the ABC/ESPN family of networks announced Monday that the Wildcats' matchup at Ohio State on Saturday, Oct. 29. will be played in prime time.

The game will kick off at 5:30 p.m. ET/4:30 p.m. CT and be televised nationally either on ESPN or ESPN2. Northwestern and Ohio State last met in the 2013 Big Ten opener under the lights at Ryan Field in front of a sellout crowd of 47,330. The Wildcats last visit to Columbus came in 2007.

Northwestern won 10 games last season for the fourth time in program history, including victories over the eventual Pac-12 champions and five opponents that went on to win a bowl game. The Wildcats return three players that earned All-Big Ten honors last year, led by All-American linebacker and First Team All-Big Ten honoree Anthony Walker Jr.

The Wildcats kick off the 2016 season on Saturday, Sept. 4, at Ryan Field against Western Michigan. The 2016 campaign is the first that will feature a nine-game Big Ten slate, with Nebraska, Indiana, Wisconsin and Illinois set to visit Evanston, along with non-conference opponents Duke and Illinois State.

Additional game times and television assignments will be announced by Northwestern Athletics, the Big Ten Conference and its television partners at a later date.
