SCOUTING NORTHWESTERN
The 'Cats return home on Sunday with a 4-1 overall record. After tipping off the season 3-0, Northwestern was handed its first loss of the year to No. 20 DePaul before rebounding with an impressive win over No. 16 Florida. Nia Coffey leads the Wildcats in scoring with 20 points per game, while Ashley Deary, Christen Inman and Lydia Rohde join in double figures.
Against Florida, Coffey played for the first time since Nov. 13 and her impact was felt immediately. She stuffed the stat sheet to the tune of a game-high 26 points, 14 rebounds, six assists, four steals and two blocks. It was her 53rd-straight time with double-digit points and her 43rd career double-double.
Deary was recognized pregame for scoring her 1,000th career point on Nov. 13 in the Wildcats' win over Oral Roberts. She scored 10 points against Florida to go along with a game high nine assists.
Northwestern ranks third in the county and lead the conference in blocks per game (8.0 bpg). As a team, the 'Cats are shooting 44 percent from the field, including 34 percent from long range and 71 percent from the charity stripe, while holding the opposition to just 35 percent from the floor.
SCOUTING EVANSVILLE
The Aces enter Sunday's matchup with an 0-4 overall record, including three losses at home. Sara Dickey leads Evansville and currently has 1,706 career points. With just seven more, she will tie for the top mark in school history. Dickey, who has hit 204 career three-pointers, is now just one away from the school record. She is averaging 16.3 points per game. Camary Williams joins Dickey in double figures, averaging 13.3 points per game. As a team, Evansville has connected on 35 percent of its shots, including 20 percent from long range and 73 percent from the free-throw line.
