Match Notes
EVANSTON, Ill. – The home portion of the 2016 schedule comes to a close this weekend for Northwestern with matches against Ohio State and Maryland at Welsh-Ryan Arena.
The Wildcats face off against the 24th-ranked Buckeyes on Friday at 7 p.m. and then take on Maryland on Saturday night at the same time. Both matches will be streamed live on BTN Plus. Links to the live stream and stats can be found at the top of the page.
Northwestern is "Blacking Out the Buckeyes" on Friday night. Fans are encouraged to wear black, and early arriving fans will receive a free, black Northwestern volleyball t-shirt.
Saturday night's match will mark Senior Night. The six Wildcats playing their final home match will be recognized in a pre-match ceremony.
Those six are Caleigh Ryan, Rafae Strobos, Maddie Slater, Kayla Morin, Sofia Lavin and Katie Kniep, who is retiring from volleyball due to injury.
Morin needs just one kill to become the 23rd player in program history to reach 1,000 for her career. She will join teammate Symone Abbott in the exclusive club.
