EVANSTON, Ill. – Junior Sam Triplett was named the Big Ten Golfer of the Week after leading the Wildcats to a third-place team finish at the Bridgestone Golf Collegiate in Greensboro, N.C.
 
The Wildcats fired a 25-under 839 as a squad, including a season-best 14-under 274 second round.
 
Triplett closed out the event as one of NU's top finishers at 8-under 208, including a low round of 68. He finished fourth overall in the individual standings to mark best finish of his career.
 
The honor marks the first for Triplett since arriving in Evanston and the second for the 'Cats this season.
