Chatt and Lipp Advance to Quarterfinals of Riviera/ITA All-American

PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif. -- Northwestern's eighth-ranked doubles team of Alex Chatt and Maddie Lipp picked up a victory Thursday in the round of 16 of the Riviera/ITA All-American Championships to earn a spot in the quarterfinal round.
The Wildcats' duo, which is seeded seventh in the tournament, outlasted the Auburn duo of Allie Michaud and Taylor Russo, 8-6. With the win, Chatt and Lipp advance to face Pepperdine's Mayar Sharif Ahmed and Christine Maddox on Friday. The Pepperdine duo upset the top-ranked and top-seeded team of Mami Adachi and Aldila Sutjiadi from Kentucky on Thursday.
