
Wilimovsky Sets Pool Record, 'Cats Fall to No. 26 Duke

DURHAM, N.C. — Senior Jordan Wilimovsky swam set a Duke University pool record in the 1,000 free with a time of 9:04.24, but Northwestern fell to the host Blue Devils, 185-110, Saturday morning.
Wilimovsky's time was just over 22 seconds faster than the second-place finisher. The Malibu, California, native also swam the 500 free in 4:27.83 to win the event.
Charlie Cole picked up another Northwestern first-place finish when he took the top spot in the 200 free. Cole won the event in a time of 1:40.48. Wilimovsky came in second behind Cole with a time of 1:41.04.
After winning the 200 fly yesterday against North Carolina State, Justin Hanson acquired four points for the 'Cats when he took second in the event, finishing with a time of 1:49.62.
Ryan Tate had a strong showing in the 100 fly when he posted a 49.67 to take second place.
Andrew Cramer finished third in the 1-meter, before earning fourth place in the 3-meter.
