Meet the Wildcats on August 28

EVANSTON, Ill. – Just over a week before Northwestern officially returns to the gridiron to host the Stanford Cardinal on September 5 at Ryan Field, the Wildcats will host the annual Meet the Team Night on Friday, August 28 at 6 p.m.
Meet the Team Night, a free event, will begin at 6 p.m. on Randy Walker Terrace at the north end of Ryan Field. Head coach Pat Fitzgerald, who begins his 10th season at the helm in Evanston, will preview the upcoming season and announce the 2015 team captains for the first time.
After Fitzgerald addresses the crowd, the Wildcats will interact with fans of all ages around Ryan Field. Fans can play catch with their favorite players, kick field goals, take pictures and run races on Ryan Field with members of the Northwestern Football Family.
Courtesy of Eisenberg, fans will be able purchase hot dogs for the low price of $1 at Meet the Team Night. In addition, Coca-Cola will supply drinks for $1 on August 28. Free parking is available in both the east and west parking lots of Ryan Field.

Season tickets, the greatest way to guarantee the best seats, and single-game tickets for Northwestern's exciting seven-game home schedule are on sale now by calling 888-GO-PURPLE (888-467-8775) or visiting NU's online ticket sales center. The 2015 campaign begins on Saturday, Sept. 5 when the Wildcats welcome Stanford at 11 a.m. NU will also host Eastern Illinois (Sept. 12, 3 p.m.) and Ball State (Sept. 26, 7 p.m.) in nonconference action. The 'Cats will clash with Minnesota (Oct. 3), Iowa (Oct. 17), Penn State (Nov. 7) and Purdue (Nov. 14) in Big Ten battles this fall.
