Big Ten Announces 2015-16 Schedules

EVANSTON, Ill. — The Big Ten Conference has announced its men's basketball conference schedule for the upcoming 2015-16 season.
 
Northwestern will open Big Ten play with four of their first six games at home, while the second half of the conference season closes with two of the final three league games at home.
 
The Wildcats will open Big Ten play at Nebraska on December 30. The Cornhuskers will return the trip to close the regular season on March 6.
 
The 'Cats will open their league home slate against Maryland on Jan. 2 before battling Ohio State in the friendly confines of Welsh-Ryan Arena Jan. 6.  After a quick trip to Minnesota Jan. 9, Chicago's Big Ten Team will return home for two more games against NCAA Finalist Wisconsin Jan. 12 and Penn State Jan. 16.
 
A return trip to Maryland is scheduled for Jan. 19 before the Wildcats travel to Indiana for their only meeting against the Hoosiers on Jan. 23.  Northwestern will play Michigan State just once this season as well, hosting the Spartans on Jan. 28 to wrap up the first half of conference play.
 
The second half of the conference season kicks off with a third-straight single-play foe on Jan. 31 when the Wildcats travel to Iowa. 
 
The month of February gets underway with a visit from Minnesota Feb. 4 before the 'Cats hit the road for their return trip to Ohio State Feb. 9. The only meeting against in-state rival Illinois will be played at home on Feb. 13.
 
Northwestern will travel in consecutive games for the first and only time in conference play when it visits Purdue Feb. 16 and Michigan Feb. 24.
 
The 'Cats close the regular season with two of three games at home, as they'll host Rutgers on Feb. 27, visit Penn State on March 3 and close the conference campaign against the Huskers.
 
The 2016 Big Ten Men's Basketball Tournament will be played at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana starting Wednesday March 9. The Big Ten Tournament championship is scheduled for Sunday, March 13.
 
Tip times and television designations for all conference games will be announced on a future date.

Season tickets are on sale now through NUSports.com and by calling 888-GO-PURPLE. Regular reserved seats are available for $294, a 45 percent savings off single-game prices. Northwestern University faculty and staff can purchase season tickets for $246, while NU young alumni and graduate student tickets are just $153. All prices do not include processing fees.

Season ticket holders also have the opportunity to purchase additional single-game tickets for all home games before they go on sale to the general public. Orders for additional single-game tickets can only be placed over the phone. The on-sale date for single-game tickets will be announced at a later date.
