EVANSTON, Ill. – Three Wildcats received preseason honors on Wednesday with the unveiling of the Big Ten Players to Watch list. Fifth-year senior midfielder Niki Sebo, senior midfielder Margo McGinty and junior forward Addie Steiner represented Northwestern on the list.

Steiner, who was named to the 2014 All-Big Ten second team, returns to the pitch after an impressive sophomore campaign. Last year, the Prairie Village, Kansas, native led the team in goals with a career-high 10, including a team-best four game winning goals.

Now in her final year at Northwestern, Sebo has been a steady presence for Northwestern's midfield, playing in 58 matches during her tenure in Evanston. Last season, Sebo logged 1,810 minutes and registered a goal and three assists. She was recently named co-captain for the 2015 season.

McGinty has been another solid presence for the Wildcats over the last three years and will be a senior on the 2015 squad. Last season, she led the team in minutes (1,996) and started in all 21 contests. This is her fourth appearance on the Big Ten Preseason Players to Watch List.

As a team, Northwestern was tabbed to finish eighth in the league in the women's soccer Big Ten Preseason Coaches' Poll.

Head coach Michael Moynihan and his Wildcats will get a tune-up before the 2015 season officially begins with an exhibition match at DePaul on Saturday, Aug. 15. Kick off is set for 4 p.m.

Following the exhibition, Northwestern will focus on its 19-match regular-season schedule, which begins Friday, Aug. 21, against North Dakota. The Wildcats will host UND at New Trier High School in Winnetka, Illinois.
