EVANSTON, Ill. -- For the second time in three weeks, Sabrina Rabin (St. Charles, Ill./St. Charles North) has been named the Big Ten Freshman of the Week, the conference office announced today. She previously swept both the Player and Freshman of the Week nods on April 20.

Rabin put a cap on a tremendous debut regular-season campaign by hitting .533 in four games last week including .545 in a three-game series at Iowa. She had three multi-hit games to raise her total to 22 on the year and stole a base in each of the contests.

Rabin began the week going 2-for-4 with a run in a win over DePaul before collecting one of NU's four hits, walking and stealing a base in a 1-0 win over Iowa Friday. She was 3-for-4 with two runs and a walk Saturday against the Hawkeyes and had two more hits and two more runs in the finale.

Rabin concluded the Big Ten season ranked first in the conference in steals (18), second in runs (32), third in batting (.456) and fourth in hits (36).

Northwestern enters the 2015 Big Ten Tournament in Columbus, Ohio, this weekend as the No. 4 seed, receiving a bye through to the quarterfinal round on Friday. NU will open at 11 a.m. CT/noon ET against the winner of Thursday's tilt between No. 5 Illinois and No. 12 Purdue.
