EVANSTON, Ill. -- No. 26 Northwestern has announced changes to its final home weekend of the season as the 'Cats now will face Nebraska at 1 p.m. Saturday before taking on No. 72 Iowa at noon Sunday.

Due to travel issues for Nebraska, the match between the Wildcats and Cornhuskers was moved from its originally scheduled day of Friday to Saturday. In turn, Sunday's originally scheduled late match between Northwestern and Detroit has been canceled.

Sunday's previously scheduled match against Iowa will go on as slated. The `Cats will honor graduating seniors Alex Pasareanu and Alberto Zanotti prior to the matchup.

Currently 16-7 on the season and 5-2 in the Big Ten, Northwestern looks to continue a four-match winning streak after beating Michigan State 6-1 and Michigan 5-2 last weekend. The `Cats are ranked 26th in the nation and fourth in the Big Ten.

Sophomore Sam Shropshire reached a career-high of No. 57 in singles rankings this week. At present, he has achieved five straight singles victories at No. 1. Fellow classmate Strong Kirchheimer climbed to No. 116 and has won his last four singles matches at No. 2.

Both Wildcats also make up one half of two ranked doubles duos. After beating two ranked opponents last weekend, Shropshire and Pasareanu rose 25 spots to No. 44. Kirchhiemer and Fedor Baev broke into the rankings for the first time this season at No. 85.

Nebraska is 10-9 this spring and 3-4 in the Big Ten, and sits at seventh place in the conference. The Cornhuskers own Big Ten wins over MSU, Michigan, and Purdue, and will play No. 3 Illinois after their visit to Evanston.

There are no ranked players on Nebraska's roster. A year ago, the `Cats beat the Huskers 5-2 in Lincoln.

Iowa has compiled a 12-6 season record and is 4-3 in conference play, good for fifth in the Big Ten. The Hawkeyes have defeated Wisconsin, Michigan, Purdue, and most recently Nebraska. They play the Illini before coming to Northwestern.

In individual rankings, Iowa's Matt Hagan is No. 112 in singles and No. 84 in doubles with Dominic Patrick. In 2014, the `Cats beat Iowa twice: once in the regular season, and again in the first round of the Big Ten Tournament.
