EVANSTON, Ill. – Northwestern head volleyball coach Keylor Chan will not return next season, Vice President for Athletics & Recreation Jim Phillips announced Friday.

"Keylor Chan has dedicated himself to our volleyball program for nearly two decades," Phillips said. "His student-athletes have been leaders in the classroom and in the community. Keylor, Maren, Elinor and Casey always will be a part of our Northwestern family. We truly are grateful for his service and wish him nothing but the best in the future."

Chan spent 16 years as head coach of the Wildcats, following a two-year stint as a Northwestern assistant.

"I have appreciated the opportunity Northwestern has provided me in my career and I will always cherish the people," said Chan. "I have coached with some amazing coaches and had the privilege of working with some amazing student-athletes.  I wish nothing but the best for Northwestern."

A national search for the Wildcats next head coach will begin immediately.
