EVANSTON, Ill. - The Northwestern women's basketball welcomes Idaho State to Welsh-Ryan Arena on Thursday, Nov. 19, at 7 p.m.. Tickets are available at NUsports.com or by calling 888-GO-PURPLE.

Northwestern opened its season last Sunday with an 89-49 victory over Howard at Welsh-Ryan Arena. Junior Nia Coffey poured in 29 points to lead a quartet of 'Cats in double-digit scoring and added seven boards, four steals and three assists in her 2015-16 debut. Coffey registered her 1,000th career point in the first quarter to become the second active Wildcat to accomplish the feat, and joined eight other players in the Big Ten's 1,000-point club. Coffey was named to the John R. Wooden Award Preseason Top-30 List. The list is comprised of 30 student-athletes who are the early front-runners for college basketball's most prestigious honor.
SCOUTING IDAHO STATE
• The Bengals were picked to finish fifth by media and seventh by coaches this season in the Big Sky Conference, following their 12th-consecutive trip to the conference tournament and eighth-place finish in league play
• ISU returns eight letter winners and three starters from last season's team, including Big Sky Newcomer of the Year Apiphany Woods. Woods has started her senior campaign on a high note with a spot on the Big Sky Preseason All-Conference Team
• Woods ranked sixth in the conference in scoring at 15.5 points per game and 4.8 rebounds per game. The senior led ISU in scoring in 17 games
• Idaho State opened their season with an 82-56 win over Colorado Christian on Nov. 13. Isabel Vara de Rey led a trio of Bengals in double figures with 14 points
