Northwestern Tennis Invites Fans to Meet the Team

EVANSTON, Ill. - The Northwestern men's and women's tennis teams are hosting a special meet the team event on Sunday, Jan. 11. Fans are invited to come hit around and interact with current players and coaches from 6-7:30 p.m. at the Combe Tennis Center.
Women's head coach Claire Pollard and men's coach Arvid Swan headline the event.
Pollard has led the Wildcats to 16 consecutive Big Ten titles, including both regular season and conference tournament championships. She was named the ITA National Coach of the Year in 2008.
Northwestern has won at least 20 matches in each season dating back to the '03-'04 campaign.
Swan is entering his eighth season at the helm of the men's team. He has guided the Wildcats to three consecutive NCAA tournament appearances and two straight 20-win seasons.
The Northwestern women open up the 2015 season at the Alabama Invite on Friday, Jan. 16. The `Cats begin play at home during the ITA Kick-Off Weekend against Arizona State on Jan. 24.
The men travel to Raleigh, N.C. on Jan. 16 to take on North Carolina State and play for the first time at the Combe Tennis Center on Feb. 1 against Duke.
