Wildcats Add Lily Novak to Class of 2019

EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern head coach Kate Drohan announced today the addition of Lily Novak to the incoming Class of 2019. Novak has accepted an offer of admission to NU and will matriculate to campus in the fall of 2015.
Novak joins Paulina Anasis (Santa Ana, Calif./Canyon), Kenzie Ellis (Indianola, Iowa/Indianola) and Morgan Nelson (Scottsdale, Ariz./Scottsdale Prep Academy) in the Wildcats' incoming class.
"I have wanted to attend Northwestern since I was four-years-old," Novak said of her dream school. The local product is the eighth member of the Chicagoland Illinois Chill club program to join the Wildcats family.
A native of nearby Winnetka, Ill., and an accomplished infielder for New Trier High School, Novak has a .425 career batting average for the Trevians while patrolling the middle infield. The two-time all-conference and all-area first-team choice was named her school's Defensive Player of the Year in 2014.
"We have known Lily for years through our camp system, and now we are excited to get to work with her every day," Drohan said. "She has a great softball IQ and plays the game hard. Most importantly, she is a great teammate."

High School: Compiled a career high school batting average of .425 ... Named Central Suburban League South All-Conference and 22nd Century Media All-Area first team in 2013 and 2014 ... Team's Defensive Player of the Year in 2014 ... Nominated for the 2014 Chicago Bandits/Chicago Sun-Times All-Star Game ... Led New Trier to conference and regional championships each year from 2012-14, going undefeated in league play during that time ...
