2014-15 Northwestern Men's Basketball Schedule
EVANSTON, Ill. - Television designations and tip times for the upcoming 2014-15 Northwestern men's basketball season have been determined.
The Wildcats will make 17 appearances on Big Ten Network during the regular season, including three nonconference games and 14 league contests. The slate includes matchups against Mississippi Valley State (Dec. 14), Western Michigan (Dec. 20) and Northern Kentucky (Dec. 27).
Northwestern's conference slate of BTN games tips off with the conference home-opener against 2014 Final Four participant Wisconsin on Jan. 4. The impressive lineup of Big Ten home matchups to be televised by BTN also include Illinois, Michigan State, Iowa, Indiana and Michigan.
Each of the Wildcats' last eight conference games are set to be televised by BTN. Beginning with a contest at Michigan State on Jan. 11, the team's BTN road matchups are also against Michigan, Maryland, Nebraska, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Illinois and Iowa.
Additionally, five of NU's games will be streamed live on BTN Plus on BTN2Go beginning with the exhibition game vs. McKendree University Nov. 14. Other streamed contests include the season-opener vs. Houston Baptist and games against North Florida, Elon and Central Michigan.
Six of Northwestern's games in 2014-15 will be produced by the ESPN Family of Networks starting with the ACC/Big Ten Challenge visit from Georgia Tech which is being televised on ESPNU. NU's Dec. 22 game against crosstown foe UIC will be a weekday matinee and will be streamed on ESPN3. Conference matchups on the ESPN networks include the league-opener at Rutgers which will be broadcast on ESPNU. Other ESPNU broadcasts include home games vs. Purdue (Jan. 31) and Penn State (Feb. 21) while the Wildcats' home contest against Ohio State (Jan. 22) will be televised by either ESPN or ESPN2.
Northwestern is set to appear on FOX for the first time when it travels to Butler on Dec. 6 while the team's two Cancun Challenge games in Mexico are being televised by CBS Sports Network. The Wildcats' game at Brown on Nov. 17 is slated to be streamed live on BrownBears.com.
