Northwestern Team Notes
• This was the lowest scoring Northwestern-Michigan contest since the Wolverines defeated NU 12-6 in 1998 in Evanston and the closest since Michigan prevailed 17-16 in Ann Arbor in 1996.

• Michigan has taken the last four games between the teams.

• For the second time this season, NU and its opponent drew 0-0 at halftime. The Wildcats and Northern Illinois were scoreless at the break on Sept. 6. NIU eventually won, 23-15.

• With Michigan scoring 10 points, the Wildcats have held four opponents under 15 points this season, all in Big Ten games.

• Going into the game, the 'Cats were tied with Wisconsin for fewest fumbles lost by a Big Ten team this season with three and suffered their fourth today.

• With two pickoffs today (S Ibraheim Campbell and CB Matthew Harris) Northwestern now has 41 interceptions in its last 25 games played, dating to 2012.

• Northwestern's fourth-quarter drive, resulting in Jack Mitchell's 21-yard field goal, is the second-longest of the season in terms of yards (95) and third-longest in time (6:39).

• With CB Nick VanHoose's block of a field goal today, NU has six blocked kicks this season. Van Hoose has two of them, including a blocked PAT against Northern Illinois.

Northwestern Individual Notes

• RB Justin Jackson (35 yards today) has been Northwestern's leading rusher in all nine games this season.

• QB Trevor Siemian's fourth-quarter touchdown pass to WR Tony Jones was the 25th of Siemian's career, one behind Mitch Anderson (1972-74) for seventh place on the all-time Northwestern list. It was Siemian's fifth touchdown pass this season.

• Siemian's 31 completions tied as the second-most of his career. He completed 32 against Minnesota on Oct. 11 and 31 against Illinois last season.

• Siemian's 268 passing yards today tied as his second-most this season. He had a season-high 269 vs. Minnesota and 268 against Northern Illinois.

• Jones and WR Kyle Prater led all receivers today with seven pass receptions. Prater led everyone with 81 receiving yards. Prater also had seven receptions against Iowa last week.

• Jones has now a team-leading 10 career touchdown receptions, while Prater leads NU with 36 receptions with 367 yards this season.

• The 31 Northwestern pass completions today went to eight different receivers.

• S Ibraheim Campbell's 75-yard interception marked his third pickoff against the Wolverines in his career. He had two against Michigan on Oct. 8, 2011.

• Campbell's second interception this season is also the 10th of his career, which ties him with Eric Hutchinson (1969-71) and Harold Blackmon (1997-2000) for fifth on the NU career list.

• Campbell's interception return was the longest run by any Wildcat this season and the longest of his career.

• LB Chi Chi Ariguzo and CB Matthew Harris paced Northwestern with eight tackles apiece. Ariguzo continues to lead NU in stops this season, now with 80.

• In addition, Harris intercepted his second career pass, while also breaking up another and was in on a tackle for loss.

• Going into the game, CB Nick VanHoose was the Big Ten leader in passes defended. He added another for his 12th this season.

• VanHoose ranks fourth in NU history with 25 career pass breakups. His 12 in 2014 are tied for seventh in NU season annals.
