EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern returns home this weekend to conclude the fall collegiate schedule by hosting its traditional TYR Invitational Friday through Sunday, Nov. 21-23, at the Norris Aquatics Center.
Seven women's teams (including one with divers only competing) and five men's teams will take to the water this weekend. A full list of the teams attending is available in the box at the top of this release.
Preliminary heats will begin at 9 a.m. CT each day with finals sessions at 5 p.m. CT Friday and Saturday, and 3 p.m. CT Sunday. Diving starts at 11 a.m. each day. Admission is FREE and fans are encouraged to come early to secure seating for what is annually a laud and raucous pool environment at the TYR.

The Northwestern men, ranked 21st in the nation by the College Swimming Coaches Association of American (CSCAA) earlier in the fall, are 5-2 on the dual-meet season entering this weekend. The NU women are 4-3 so far this year and 1-1 in the Big Ten including a victory over conference foe Illinois in the first meet of the season.
UIC and Northwestern met earlier in the fall already with both the men's and women's squads coming away with wins for the Wildcats.
Following this meet, several members of both NU teams who have qualified will head to Greensboro, N.C., Dec. 3-6 for U.S. Nationals.
