John Andrade Named Big Ten Diver of the Week

EVANSTON, Ill. -- Senior John Andrade (Avon, Conn./Notre Dame) has been named the Big Ten Diver of the Week after his performance in Northwestern's dual meet last week at No. 19 Wisconsin.
Andrade won the 3-meter springboard event for the first dual-meet victory in his two-year Northwestern career, earning an NCAA Zone qualification score of 323.48. Andrade, who transferred to NU from Notre Dame prior to his junior season, also grabbed points for the Wildcats with a third-place finish on the 1-meter board in that meet.
Andrade and Northwestern return to action to finish the fall season this Friday through Sunday, Nov. 21-23, at the Wildcats' own TYR Invitational at the Norris Aquatics Center.
