EVANSTON, Ill. -- No. 29 Northwestern travels to Nashville, Tenn. on Sunday to take on No. 21 Vanderbilt. The contest begins at noon and marks the fifth straight time these teams have met in non-conference competition.

This season, Vanderbilt (3-1) has wins over Marquette, Belmont, and LSU, with their only loss from No. 14 Texas at the ITA Indoor Qualifying Rounds last weekend. They boast two nationally ranked players in No. 9 Gonzales Austin and No. 57 Rhys Johnson. In 2012-13, the Commodores finished 18-11 and made a journey to the sweet sixteen at the NCAA tournament.

The `Cats have met stiff competition against Vanderbilt in their past meetings, and narrowly lost 4-3 last year. In that match, then senior Spencer Wolf defeated then No. 20 Austin in three sets for a thrilling upset victory.
